Privacy Policy

This policy applies to every user of RentWithoutBroker, including Property Seekers, Property Owners, Residents, Tenants, Society Chairpersons, Secretaries, Committee Members, Security Staff, Society Managers, RWB Partners, Vendors, Service Providers, Visitors and Super Administrators. The scope of data we handle depends on the role you use.

Account & identity: name, email, mobile number, password (hashed), profile photo, preferred language, and the roles you activate on the platform.

Property listings: address, rent, deposit, BHK, area, description, photographs and ownership representations you submit as an Owner.

Society management: flat/unit, resident type, family members and household details, committee role, permission grants, and society settings.

Visitor management: visitor name, mobile, purpose, host flat, entry/exit timestamps, photographs and OTP-based approvals recorded at the gate.

Resident directory: the contact and profile details residents choose to share with their society, subject to per-user privacy settings.

Community marketplace: listings, item details, photos, prices, messages exchanged between residents and reviews.

Maintenance & finance: bills raised by the society, payments received, ledger entries, receipts, refund requests and communication threads.

Parking & documents: parking slot allocations, access pass codes and documents uploaded to your society's shared space.

Events, notices & forum: RSVPs, posts, comments, reactions and read/acknowledgement receipts.

Partner Program: business/KYC information Partners submit, campaign content, leads referred, commission events and payout details.

Subscription management: plan chosen, purchase history, credits used, invoices and payment references.

Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, OS, app version, push notification tokens (FCM/APNs), coarse location for map features and interaction logs used for security and analytics.

• Provide, personalise and secure the platform for your role.
• Match Property Seekers with verified Owner listings and reveal contact details on plan use.
• Operate society modules: visitor approvals, resident directory, notices, marketplace, events, maintenance, parking and security.
• Send transactional communication (approvals, receipts, notices) and, with consent, product updates.
• Prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access; enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
• Comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting and IT Rules requirements in India.

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data only with the following categories of processors and only for the purposes below:

• Razorpay and other configured payment gateways (Cashfree, Stripe, PhonePe, PayU, CCAvenue) — to process subscription and society payments.
• Supabase — cloud database, storage and authentication infrastructure hosting your account and society data.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) & Apple Push Notification service — to deliver push notifications to Android/iOS devices.
• Google Maps — to render maps and geocode addresses on property and society pages.
• Email delivery providers — to send transactional and support emails.
• Analytics — first-party product analytics that do not include sensitive PII.
• Law enforcement — where required by a valid legal order.

Society data (directory, notices, forum, bills, visitor logs) is scoped to that society and visible only to approved members with the relevant permissions. Committees decide who can view or manage each module. RentWithoutBroker acts as the platform provider and does not use society data for cross-society targeting or advertising.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and limited preference and analytics cookies to improve the product. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

We use TLS for data in transit, encryption for sensitive fields at rest, row-level security in the database, role-based access control, hashed passwords and audited administrative actions. For details see our Security Policy and Trust Center.

We retain personal information only as long as required for the purposes above or by law. Retention windows for each data category are listed in our Data Retention Policy.

• Access & correction — view and update your profile at any time.
• Portability — request a copy of the data you have provided.
• Deletion — request account deletion per our Account Deletion Policy.
• Consent withdrawal — turn off marketing communications; transactional messages required for the service will continue.
• Grievances — reach our Grievance Officer per the Grievance Redressal Policy.

RentWithoutBroker is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
