At RentWithoutBroker.in, we want you to be satisfied with every purchase you make on our platform. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for our paid services, including Contact Plans.

1. General Policy

Contact Plans and other digital services offered on RentWithoutBroker.in are generally non-refundable once purchased and activated. However, we recognize that exceptional circumstances may arise, and we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis with fairness and transparency.

A refund request must be submitted within 7 days of the original purchase date to be eligible for consideration. Requests submitted after this period will generally not be entertained except in extraordinary circumstances.

2. Contact Plan Refunds

Refund eligibility for Contact Plans depends on usage:

  • Unused credits, plan not activated: If you have not used any contact reveals and the plan was purchased within the last 7 days, you are eligible for a full refund minus any payment gateway processing fees (typically 2-3%).
  • Partially used credits: If you have used a portion of your contact reveals, a partial refund may be issued for the remaining unused credits, calculated on a pro-rata basis. This is subject to admin review and approval.
  • Fully used credits: No refund will be issued if all purchased contact reveals have been consumed, as the digital service has been fully delivered.
  • Time-based unlimited plans: For plans offering unlimited reveals for a fixed duration, no refund will be issued once the plan period has commenced, as access to the service has been granted.

3. Failed or Duplicate Payments

If your payment fails or is duplicated due to a technical error, but money is deducted from your account:

  • If no plan or service was activated, the deducted amount is typically auto-reversed by your bank or our payment partner (Razorpay) within 5-7 business days.
  • If the amount is not auto-reversed within 7 business days, please contact us immediately with your payment reference number (order ID) and we will investigate and process a manual refund if applicable.
  • For duplicate payments where a service was activated only once, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full within 5-7 business days.

4. Service Issues and Technical Problems

If you experience significant technical issues that prevent you from using a purchased service through no fault of your own — such as a platform outage, broken contact reveal functionality, or verified system bugs — we will work to resolve the issue promptly. If the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, you may be eligible for:

  • A service credit equivalent to the affected usage
  • A pro-rata refund for the period of unusable service
  • An extension of your plan validity period to compensate for downtime

To qualify, you must report the issue through our support channels within 48 hours of encountering the problem.

5. Fraud or Misrepresentation

If you purchase a Contact Plan and subsequently discover that a listing was fraudulent, posted by a broker posing as an owner, or contained fundamentally false information, you may be eligible for a credit or refund for the contact reveal consumed on that listing. To request this:

  • Report the listing using our "Report Listing" feature with detailed reasoning
  • Contact our support team within 7 days of the reveal
  • Provide any supporting evidence (screenshots, call records, etc.)

Upon admin confirmation of the fraud or misrepresentation, we will restore your consumed credit or issue a proportional refund. Additionally, the fraudulent listing and associated account will be removed from the platform.

6. Refund Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to our Contact Us page
  2. Submit a request with your registered email address, payment ID / order ID, and reason for refund
  3. Our team will review your request within 2-3 business days
  4. If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days
  5. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is initiated

Please note that the actual time for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider and may take up to 14 business days in some cases.

7. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind after using part or all of the purchased service
  • Failure to find a suitable property (we are a marketplace, not a guarantee of rental success)
  • Disputes between tenants and owners that are unrelated to platform functionality
  • Violation of our Terms resulting in account suspension or termination
  • Requests submitted more than 7 days after the original purchase date (except for failed payments)
